Some might say that the original is always better than the sequel. And although that may reign primarily true, there are some exceptions to that notion. One in particular being Toy Story 2. Toy Story 2, in all aspects, in significantly better than the original. I'm not the only ones who believes this because according to Sue Clayton, who is a film director and screenwriting professor, Toy Story 2 has the perfect technical film formula. The formula is as follows: 30% action, 17% comedy, 13% good versus evil, 12% love and romance, 10% special effects, 10% plot, and 8% music. Toy Story 2 manages to fit all these percentages exactly, which is extremely impressive for a film. Not only is Toy Story 2 technical film perfection, but its plot is much more intriguing than the original. For example, we meet lots of new characters in the sequel, which includes Jessie. Jessie is arguably one of the best characters in the entire Toy Story franchise and an excellent addition to the gang. She completes the gang and it is odd re-watching the original Toy Story and not seeing Jessie in it. The movie almost feels empty without her. The thrill and excitement is unbeatable in Toy Story 2 and I highly recommend that everyone watches it, because I guarantee you will not regret it.
